5 Top Destinations You Wanted To Visit

Once upon a time, there was a girl who wants to visit the Tower of Pisa in Italy and capture a magnificent photograph of the pyramid in Egypt but things didn't turn the way it was suppose to be. Instead, she was still stuck up in her native land by a cruel fate dreaming that one day, a fairy godmother will pop up and give her 5 wishes (I'm generous in this story). The girl dreamt the following night with a beautiful damsel right in front of her eyes, giving all her 5 wishes.

So here it goes, these are my dream places I wanted to visit (at least once in my life):

1. Bora-Bora
2. France
3. Austria
4. Japan
5. New Zealand

I thought it would be easy to pick 5 places but now I'm finding it really hard to pick just 5 places. I only have about a gazillion on my bucket list. So, in no particular order here are mine (for today at least, I may change my mind tomorrow):

1. Japan
2. Ireland
3. Spain
4. New Zealand
5. Maldives

Ack! Just five? I suppose I can't just name continents, huh? 'Cause that would allow me to cover *almost* all of the places I want to go.

Like mariaandrea, my list is subject to change at any time.

The top 5 destinations I wanted to visit would be:-

1. The United Kingdom, especially London. (When I was 4, I saw photos of my grandparents in London, and I fell in love)
2. France, especially Paris (I just always wanted to go to Paris, a kind of soul yearning)
3. Australia, especially Sydney (I fell in love with The Sydney Opera House when I was really young)
4. Thailand, especially Bangkok (because I love Thai food and remembered Thailand from the movie, The Beach)
5. South Korea, especially Seoul (because it is halfway between Japan and China and has the fastest internet in the world)

That is about it for this list. But there are about 200 more countries to be added before I die, lol.

This is a tough one! Out of hundreds that are on my wish list, picking up just five? Hmmm, alright, here goes the list:

# Paris [I only transited with change of flights in airport while traveling US]
# Venice, which holds some special fancy in my imagination
# Sydney, of which I only have TV images that beckon all the time
# Brazil, I missed going there narrowly a few years back
# Switzerland, why not?

My top 5 for the moment, in no particular order, are:

-Bali and Lombok (the Wallace line where the two ecosystems meet has been a dream destination since I learned about it in college)
-Sri Lanka during the elephant gathering (largest wild elephant gathering in the world when they all go to a big watering hole at once)
- Costa Rica (for the birds and other wildlife)
- Germany (because I know people in every major city- including two former roommates- and really want to make a grand tour to visit them all one of these days)
- Tokyo (because it is the most populous city in the world and everyone who has been there and knows me says I'll love it)

I have hit others on my big list already, so I don't include those. I've also been amazingly pleasantly surprised by places I would not have thought of including on my big bucket list but which have ended up some of my favorite places I've ever gone. Pusan, South Korea and Koh Phi Phi in Thailand are two of my favorites- I absolutely *loved* both places and both were last-minute unexpected trips that I would never have though to dream and plan for.

And its fun to say too. Now I will have to add this to my bucket list. Luckily my daughter was just hired for Continental/United Airlines. This means I will travel FREE. My bucket List will actually become a reality. Very exciting.

For me, it's more tempting to want to return to places I've already been and enjoyed. So, I'll start my list there.

1. Ireland- Dublin and the West coast, particularly the Ring of Kerry & Dingle Peninsula.
2. Scotland- Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities in the world, and I'd love to go hiking in the highlands again.
3. England- London has so much to offer, & the Lake District is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
4.Switzerland- I've actually not been here, but would love to take my husband as his great-grandfather came to the states from there.
5. Austria- Each time I watch The Sound of Music, I long to roam the hills like Julie Andrews!
