Looking For A Nice Winter Getaway

We already live in South FLorida, so needless to say a tropical vacation is NOT what we are looking for. Any suggestions for a cabin in the woods, or the Poconos, or a ski vacation that doesn't break the bank?

Actually that is VERY far from me. I am in South Florida. The most southern part of the United States, and Canada is the all the way to the top of our country and I am at the very very bottom. In the car we are looking at 3 days. I was looking to go to another state like Tennessee or Colorado.

My cousin owns land in the Smoky Mountains. I've been told there are some nice places to ski near Asheville, North Carolina.
